Rev. Dr. Frances "Toni" Draper PASTOR

Pastor Toni
Rev. Dr. Frances Murphy Draper (b.k.a. Pastor Toni) was appointed pastor of the John Wesley A.M.E.
Zion Church in September 2002. A native Baltimorean, she holds a BA degree in Spanish Education
and has earned masters degrees in Education, Business Administration and Pastoral Counseling.
She
studied theology at St. Mary’s Seminary and University, and received her Doctor of Ministry degree at
United Theological Seminary.
Rev. Draper is the immediate past president of the AFRO-American Newspapers (1986-1999) and
currently serves on its board. She also is a trustee of Morgan State University and Loyola College.
For 30 years, she has been married to André Draper and they have three sons, one daughter, and
seven grandchildren. “I will bless the Lord at all times. His praise shall continually be in my mouth.”
